Porto Femme returns for its 8th edition, consolidating itself as a space for the visibility of women and queer-identifying people. For every new edition, a new gaze, and in 2025 the central theme is “(In)Visibilidades” in cinema and in feminist movements, with a special focus on, and dedicated screenings of, lesbian films. The usual competitive sections — International, National, Students, XX Element and Themed — are joined on the programme by workshops, talks, performances, exhibitions and parties. For the first time, there will be an industry-related event: the Meeting of Barbaras.
