The hottest season of the year is approaching and with it comes Oásis, our open-air film series celebrating the end of another year of programming at Batalha.

This year, we offer an American Night over six outdoor film screenings in Praça da Batalha. Just as in the decades-old technique used by film studios — day for night, in which scenes filmed in the daytime simulate the night — these films recall stories where the night takes the leading role. Across two weeks, we present a series of cult films that traverse genres and decades as they transport us to the United States of America.
