Visões Úteis presents the ZHA listening party: ZHA! É a nossa vez!
The album is the result of community co-creation meetings and a cycle of workshops that took place in 2023 in the neighbourhoods of Contumil, Lagarteiro and Cerco do Porto.
ZHA! É a nossa vez! brings together original songs by the artists and musicians who took part in these meetings, most of whom are self-taught. ZHA! represents the desire to reclaim time and space, as well as artistic dignity and equal opportunities for the Roma community — and to make their voices louder. The video clips reveal the stories of these encounters and in them the choice of the album's title becomes clear: "É a nossa vez!" [It's our turn!]
Free entrance upon ticket pickup on the same day. Limited to two tickets per person. Session followed by a talk with Vanessa Ribeiro Rodrigues.
