When a star explodes in a supernova, it projects its intense light on a cosmic scale, but also the chemical elements it has forged in its core — for example, the silver we find in film or the oxygen that is held in our breath in the dark of a cinema. For film lovers aged 16 to 22, this group aims to stimulate a joyful, relaxed cinema experience with different perspectives. The Batalha programme is read here in conjunction with other arts such as dance, music, visual arts, elements of pop culture, or even the experiences of each participant. The third edition of the group will be led by Allian Fernando, artist, performer and DJ, and Maria Morte, from the Soares dos Reis Art School.
