Contemporânea Film(e) is a film and video curatorial project that aims to explore new forms of curation and exhibition, art and theory, film and contemporary art. To this end, visual artists have been invited who work with film, video, and experimental cinema in their practices, or whose creations sit at the intersection of contemporary art and cinema. The screening curated by Salomé Lamas delves into themes such as eco-feminism, ecological crises, political visibility and invisibility, and resistance to systems of power. It invites reflection on the connections between humans and nature, the global consequences of human activity, and proposes new ways of relating to and caring for ecosystems and marginalised communities.
