Conducted over four days, in the Easter break, this workshop promotes a fun, communal space of experimentation in animation filmmaking. The participants, between the ages of 6 and 9, will learn how to create a short animated film, going through stages such as choosing a theme, drawing a storyboard, exploring animation techniques, building sets and characters, and finally directing and editing. The outcome of this collaborative work will then be presented at Batalha.
The workshop also includes a guided tour of Casa Museu de Vilar, in Lousada, where the participants will be able to discover the evolution of the moving image, as well as exploring several optic toys. The workshop is conducted by Abi Feijó (director, producer, teacher and the director of Casa Museu de Vilar), and assisted by Iolanda Pinheiro.
