In this bizarre comedy, we follow Kika (Verónica Forqué), a make-up artist who is called to the home of American writer Nicholas to prepare the corpse of his son, Ramón, who has just died. During the process, the young woman accidentally reverses Ramón's death and they fall in love. Often considered a misunderstood Almodóvar film, Kika hides — under vibrant scenery, irreverent characters and absurd humour — a unique social critique.
