Using a comedy drama register, Wajib (the word means “obligation”) follows a father and son who, in Nazaré around Christmas time, carry out the Palestinian tradition of delivering by hand the hundreds of invitations to the wedding of their daughter and sister. The father, a divorced professor long used to coexisting with the Israeli authorities, and the son, an architect now living in Rome who has a more radical view of the situation, experience small tensions and layers of incompatibility over the course of their journey.
