Taiwanese director Hsiao Kang (once again played by Lee Kang-Sheng) travels to the Louvre in Paris to shoot a film inspired by the tale of Salomé. Antoine (Jean-Pierre Léaud) plays King Herod alongside a famous model (Laetitia Casta), cast to increase box office success. Since Hsiao Kang speaks neither French nor English well, the shoot encounters difficulties right from the start. Screened at the Cannes, Toronto and Rotterdam film festivals, Visage is a love letter to Truffaut’s cinema.
