Selected for the Un Certain Regard section at the 77th edition of Cannes, Viet and Nam plunges into the depths of a coal mine in the north of Vietnam to tell the story of a couple fighting for survival. Nam, more daring than his partner Viet, decides to secretly leave the country. However, when a mysterious shaman promises to recover the remains of his father — a soldier who disappeared during the war — the young man sees an opportunity to achieve inner peace.
