Michael, a British man abroad, decides to visit the area of Tiger Bay — a gloomy place marked by decadence and criminality — to prove that the spirit of romance can prevail in the least promising of circumstances. The young man ends up getting involved in a fight with a local gang and falling in love. Crimes, bars, prostitution and a dose of humour blend in Tiger Bay — featuring Anna May Wong, the first star of Asian origin in Hollywood. This film was screened by Cineclube in the Pathé Baby room.
