Leo (Marisa Paredes) is a writer of popular novels who hides under the pseudonym Amanda Gris because she despises her own work. Her frustration extends to her private life as, ironically, she is in an unhappy marriage. Trapped at a personal and professional crossroads, she struggles with loneliness, depression and estrangement from her husband, a distant and indifferent military man. When the editor of El País offers her a job as a columnist, Leo sees fiction become reality and embarks on a journey of self-discovery and emotional emancipation.
