It's summertime in New York. Tonia arrives in the city to meet her boyfriend Franz. Tonia and Franz live with Erika and Paul, and build a non-binary and polyamorous domesticity, the result of multiple affections. Jessica Dunn Rovinelli makes a fiction film that is very close to reality (she herself plays the role of Tonia) in which the documentary-style recording invades the screen and conveys to the viewers the tactile sensation of caresses, the softness of two people relaxing together, and the pleasure of artistic creation. A free meta-adaptation of Ronald M. Schernikau’s 1980s novel, So schön.
