Considered a classic of French animated cinema, The King and the Mockingbird is an imaginative film that took more than thirty years to conceive. With a screenplay by Jacques Prévert, adapted from a tale by Hans Christian Andersen, and animation by Paul Grimault, it tells the story of a self-centred king, absolute controller of the kingdom's destinies, who lives obsessed with his image. Can a bird confront him and make room for freedom?
