Afraid of a future of loneliness once his family has died, Sam, 10, is determined to pass his summer holidays by himself as a form of “solitude training”. His plans are interrupted by the arrival of Tess, a strange older girl with a secret. Based on the book by Anna Woltz, the film reflects on the desire for self-sufficiency and the need for company, as well as the wish to control our destinies and the emotions generated by the inevitable transformations of adolescence. The film was awarded with a Special Mention in the Generation K Plus section at Berlin Film Festival.
