Advertising and auteur cinema come together in this screening in which we look at an underappreciated area of Cinema Novo. Fernando Lopes, José Fonseca e Costa and António de Macedo all made short publicity films using innovative, experimental approaches that would be reflected in their better-known works. In this screening, we present eight films that provide different readings of a permanently new cinema.
Screening presented by Eduardo Cintra Torres, Hugo Barreira and Pedro Leitão
