Set in a rural part of Tuscany, Italy, during the 1980s, this is the story of Arthur (Josh O’Connor), an English archaeologist who has just been released from prison. He reunites with his “tombaroli” friends, a group of looters who live off the spoils of raiding Etruscan tombs. While his accomplices lust after luxury and wealth, Arthur, still mourning the loss of his beloved, searches for a bridge to the afterlife. La chimera, which features Isabella Rossellini, Carol Duarte and Alba Rohrwacher, was nominated for the Palme D’Or at Cannes.
