In this sensitive drama, with a screenplay by Birkin and Varda and a familiar cast, Jane Birkin plays Mary-Jane, a lonely woman who falls in love with a young teenager (Mathieu Demy, Varda's son), her daughter's classmate (Charlotte Gainsbourg, Birkin's daughter). In limbo between childhood and adulthood, the young man alternates between his devotion to the video game Kung-Fu Master and his interest in Mary-Jane, leading her to question whether what she feels for the boy is real or just the desire to recover a lost youth.
