About to leave Madrid for Lisbon to accompany her boyfriend, Julieta crosses paths in the street with Beatriz, a friend of her daughter Antía. This encounter takes her back in time and reminds her of the reasons why she has lost contact with her only daughter for the last 12 years. The event leads her to postpone the trip and write a long letter to Antía, recalling their lives together and everything that led to the separation. Considered one of Almodóvar's most melancholic films, Julieta is a reflection on time, fate and the unbreakable bonds that unite us, despite absence.
