After disappearing for many years, Renée returns to her homeland to reconnect with her family. Her arrival changes everything for Athene, the daughter she left in the care of her brother and sister-in-law. As mother and daughter become close again, the couple begin to wonder about Renée’s earlier disappearance and worry that she may leave again, this time with Athene.
