Joanna, who has lived her whole life in an orphanage, finally sees her dreams become reality when, one day, she is adopted by a new mother: a gorilla. Despite the adoptive parent’s unusual appearance, mother and daughter soon establish a friendly relationship. However, the new family’s tranquillity is interrupted by the schemes of a greedy businessman. In this special Christmas screening for children, we present an animated film that was shown in the Official Selection at Annecy in 2021. Directed by Linda Hambäck, author of Gordon & Paddy (2018), it is a story about generosity and the power of love — both enduring symbols of the Christmas period.
