A classic of British horror, Don’t Look Now is based on a short story by Daphne du Maurier about a couple who travel to Venice following the accidental death of their daughter. They meet two sisters, one of whom claims to be a medium in contact with the little girl. With daring editing, temporal fluidity and heavy symbolism achieved through the use of objects, patterns and colours, the film traces the psychology of mourning. Cronenberg named it as the scariest film he had ever seen.
