Miguel Moreira, also known as Djon Africa, was born and grew up on the outskirts of Lisbon. One day, he decides to travel to Cape Verde to learn about his roots and meet the father he never met. He only knows what his grandmother, with whom he has always lived, has told him. The journey depicted in this film is also a voyage into the territory of memories, desires and mythologies of a good number of those who maintain their cultural roots and the genesis of their identity on the African continent.
