Korean philosopher Byung-Chul Han has a long academic career and a distinct path as an essayist and speaker. Recently his work has focussed on the emotional damage emerging in the context of this most recent phase of capitalism, and on the individual consequences of a system that encourages productivity, innovation and growth at any cost. At Batalha, he presents a lecture titled "On Eros".
