One of Jane Birkin’s first small film roles before she became famous — and one of the most controversial — was in Blow-Up, the first English-language film by Antonioni. The story follows a day in the life of Thomas, a photographer in the bubbling swinging 60s London whose routine is shaken by a discovery — on amplifying one of his photographs of a couple in a park, he finds evidence of a murder. A milestone in the history of cinema, the film provoked a great scandal due to the nude scene featuring Jane Birkin.
