The first edition of Neighbours, Batalhawood, will be developed in collaboration with Batalha’s neighbours who have roots in Bangladesh, one of the oldest and largest migrant communities in Porto.

The group will conduct fieldwork supported by tours, surveys and meetings to investigate and exchange ideas on film and the way it is regarded in South Asia, in the worlds of Dhallywood (Bangladesh) and Bollywood (India). The result will be a cycle of films — programmed by the neighbours and our team — to be shown at Batalha from 17 to 21 February.
