At the meeting point between our cycle The Politics of Sci-Fi and the project LYSIS by Diana Policarpo and Odete, these two artists invite the choreographer Dinis Machado and the creative duo Von Calhau! to run an interactive laboratory drawing on their practice of speculative fiction.

The aim of the workshop is to begin an unbiased historiography of Science Fiction in Portugal, placing artists into the world of sci-fi beyond literature and cinema, to reveal how this kind of fiction promotes and influences processes in other artistic genres like performance, dance and music.

The workshop/laboratory culminates in a public performance of the instruments that have been discussed and learnt.
