Programme:
This kaleidoscopic video-poem was shot with a 360º camera. It is a collaboration between Eduardo Williams and the Argentinian poet Mariano Blatt, in which the poem “No es” (“It is not”) takes us through a series of images of daily life in Guinea-Bissau. The circular nature of the poem paints a hypnotic portrait of the country and its people, discarding the old norms of ethnographic cinema. Williams has produced a film where both he and the people he films become nothing more than a mass of moving images.
