Loosely inspired by Ed Ruscha's book of photographs, Nine Swimming Pools and a Broken Glass, this is an essay about swimming pools, the ideas we have of them and what they can mean for culture and collective memory. Los nadadores thus serves as a prologue to the cycle and it also explores, in a playful way, class dilemmas, work, leisure, sex and tragedy.
