Programme:
Two women meet in the street. They barely recognise each other, even though they used to be friends and lovers. One of them is pregnant. The meeting takes them back into the past, to a time when they shared their bodies and their doubts intensely. What is love? How do we know when we love someone? Through a documentary device, a series of faces — male and female — appear on the screen and do their best to explain. Using the voracious medium of video in livid colours, Jeanne Waltz tells us about that existential sentiment, love, revealing a kind of urgency as she films the stories of young lives in the city.
Film followed by talk with Jeanne Waltz and Manuel Mozos, moderated by Daniel Ribas and Paulo Cunha.
