It has long been claimed that the moon is made out of cheese. And there’s nothing that Wallace and Gromit like more than tea, crackers and… cheese. In this quest for the best cheese for snack time – Wensleydale, Stilton or Camembert? – we set off on a grand day out on the moon. Up there all dreams become possible, whether for humans and their canine companions or for the robots that live alone out in space. In this film we encounter Wallace and Gromit for the first time, who, together with the canny Shaun the Sheep, became the most famous characters in stop motion. This film was nominated for Best Animated Feature at the Oscars in 1991, launching Nick Park’s career.
