The title of this work is a direct quote from the academic, art critic and pianist Edward Said's book After the Last Sky. These "terrifying frontiers" are the ever-volatile boundaries of Gaza, a place where movements are marked by violence – be it by the advance of settlements, or by the forced displacement of residents. Throughout this short film we listen to testimonies from participants in the Great March of Return – a protest that took place over the course of a year – among whom can be found the voices of the artists themselves, their identities masked by computer-rendered humanoid avatars.
