Gillian Holroyd (Kim Novak), a modern witch who lives in New York with a Siamese cat, uses her powers to win over her neighbour, editor Shepard Henderson (James Stewart), who is engaged to another woman. However, as witches cannot truly fall in love, Gillian begins to lose her powers as her feelings for Shepard intensify. Set during the Christmas season, this comedy, which mixes magic and romance, will get even the most sceptical into the festive spirit.
