Programme:
By interweaving a history of the days immediately after 25 April with interviews with young people and teenagers a year later, the film operates through a historical dialectic, exposing the complexities and contradictions of the revolutionary process. The statements made by the young people interviewed show a hyper-politicised society, with social events at the forefront of their minds. In general, young people feel freer, while there is some apprehension about a future that is still unclear. The film also promises a discourse on the transformation of Portuguese society towards a more communal and shared sense. As one of the young people says, it's a "new Portugal".
