In the eyes of the little girl, those five minutes seem to stretch out further than the ocean. As time passes, she observes other beachgoers on this pleasant summer’s day. With the film’s duration corresponding precisely to that of its narrative, this animation by the Armenian filmmaker Natalia Mirzoyan depicts the ephemeral nature of a summer day and the memorable moments of childhood.
