Inês de Medeiros’s directorial debut, this short tells the story of Senhor Jerónimo (José Viana), an old man living in a hospital “so that he’s not alone”. Cleverly, he takes advantage of another patient’s death in order to fake his own, allowing him to escape to his home. This black comedy, which features a special appearance by Raul Solnado, sees death transformed into an ironic celebration of life.
