Produced for the tenth anniversary of Curtas Vila do Conde, Remains is one of Sandro Aguilar's most secret and unique works. One: a house, in ruins. We see scraps of paper, birds, furniture, in a camera so close that it shakes dizzily. It's as if we were contemplating the end of the world. A metallised apocalypse, full of cobwebs and antiquity. Zero: a song suddenly unbalances this apocalypse. It's If You Go Away, sung by Scott Walker, illuminated by the incandescent blue of jellyfish swimming in the water. A sudden romanticism might save the world.
