Tresor Tapes is a free portrait of the birth of Berlin’s techno culture, whose early history merges with Tresor, the iconic nightclub founded by Dimitri Hegemann in 1991, less than two years after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Using archive material spanning three decades, video artist Rebecca Salvadori constructs a multifaceted narrative fuelled by memories of a community. The video is the result of a commission from the club and was presented at the venue's 31st anniversary exhibition in 2022, Tresor 31: Techno, Berlin und die große Freiheit (Techno, Berlin and the Great Freedom).
