In the suburbs of Madrid, we enter the building where Gloria lives with her husband, two children, and mother-in-law. Gloria works as a professional cleaner and does all the housework. Her life revolves around working and caring for others. Like her, the other members of the family seek a freedom that is not found within the traditional family structure, in which they exist. In a perfect Almodóvarian tragic-comic register, the home is presented not as a space of comfort, but as a web of anxieties and threats.
