An adaptation of a traditional Inuit tale, this film contains a lesson for young people on the importance of supporting others in your family and community. Angutti is a boy who doesn’t do his chores, preferring to play by the water. One day, Qalupalik, a part-human sea monster, kidnaps Angutti and takes him to its lair. It falls to Angutti’s father, a respected hunter in the tribe, to chase after the creature and rescue his son.
