Programme:
In this Berlinale award-winning short (Teddy Award for Best Short Film), La Delpi, the sole survivor of a group of transsexual women and drag queens, tells how this community lived in the late 1980s in a Catholic and conservative Argentina, shaped by the military dictatorship. In a sensitive farewell letter that compiles memories on VHS, La Delpi explains how her shows stimulated the community and helped it in the fight against the AIDS epidemic and police violence - also talking about trying to heal these wounds with make-up, performances and improvised stage costumes.
