Programme:
Through a meta-cinematographic device, Inês de Medeiros builds a narrative about the search for a Black actor to play the character of Alberto, a teenager of African origin born in Lisbon, but who has never been to Africa. Alberto will encounter Alice, a white woman born and raised in Mozambique a long time ago. By tracing personal, family and historical traumas, this work becomes a pertinent reflection on identity and displacement, time and memory, prejudice and intolerance, colonialism and racism.
