Programme:
Closed in 1972 due to unprofitable exploitation, the São Pedro da Cova mines have operated in the municipality of Gondomar since 1795. The creation of the Revolutionary Mining Centre was intended to keep alive the memories of the miners' resistance during fascism, such as strikes and riots, but also the arduous working conditions for men and women in that mining complex. With music by Sérgio Godinho, the documentary also presents the great struggle of the present, two years after the revolution: the fight for proper housing.
