Premiering at the Cannes Film Festival, Strange Way of Life brings together Ethan Hawke and Pedro Pascal in a western set in the blazing sun of the Wild West. After 25 years out of touch, Silva crosses the desert on horseback to visit his old friend Jake, now sheriff of a small town. The reunion is marked by nostalgia and repressed desires, but also by a secret that threatens the present, and ends up sparking a moral and emotional confrontation. Strange Way of Life borrows its title from the famous fado by Amália Rodrigues, performed in the film by Caetano Veloso.
