On a visit to Paris, Lola misses the last bus home and ends up stranded on the outskirts of the city, in an area inhabited by Arab and African immigrants. Drawn to a local rave — shot in the Convento do Beato, Lisbon, an important shooting location for the film — she falls for Emir, boyfriend of Saida (Béatrice Dalle). With a striking soundtrack, Clubbed to Death (Lola) is a story about lost souls trying to find themselves to the rhythm of dance music.
