Army of Love explores the impact of alienation on society and how this problem can be solved through the redistribution of love in a community. In this fable, a group of ‘soldiers’, of varying ages and appearances, think about and discuss love as a resource and examine its conditions of exchange in economic and interpersonal dynamics. The swimming pool serves as a place for non-mercantilised love, as a path to healing and acceptance for those whom society considers unlovable because of their appearance, state of health or age.
