Programme:
A filmed debate between a Palestinian — the poet Rachid Hussein — and an Israeli — the artist Amos Kenan — who try to systematise demands, complaints and solutions for a future peace between both parties. Both express their love for the land, which is considered holy. The seeming simplicity of the staging makes clear the differences between today's discourse and the climate of humanism and hope of 1973. In the year that marks the centenary of Lionel Rogosin's birth and the 50th anniversary of the making of this film, we are showing a restoration made as part of a project to recover and promote the complete works of Lionel Rogosin, developed by the Cineteca di Bologna and Patrimonio Rogosin.
