The Death of David Cronenberg, the most recent short by the filmmaker, is as literal as the title suggests. The director, dressed in a robe, enters a bedroom, claustrophobic and shadowy like the inside of a coffin. The figure lying on the bed is a replica of Cronenberg, made up in cadaverous hues as if in its death throes. The living figure approaches, and tenderly says goodbye to his own body.
