In this experimental work, the swimming pools of the historic estate of newspaper magnate William Randalph Hearst in San Simeon are filmed. Designed by Julia Morgan, the first licensed female architect in California, these sumptuous pools are off-limits to the public. Pools explores different environments and techniques, involving us in an authentic sensory experience and allowing us to swim in an inaccessible architectural space.
