Programme:
In 1979, the Pacific Club opened in a basement in La Défense, Paris’s business district, becoming a refuge for the city’s Arab youth. Azedine, one of those young people, tells the story of this forgotten space, which represented the promise of freedom for a generation that dreamt of integration in France — but who were confronted with racism, AIDS and a heroin epidemic.
